Can anybody suggest, how to format the hard drives in Windows XPSP2
and the syntax, if any?

Thank you, everybody, in advance.

If you mean that you want to format existing drives, you cannot format
the drive that has
the Operating System on it but any other drive can be formatted by just
rt clicking on the
drive icon in MyComputer and select format.
If you want to format the OS drive you can do that by using a
floppy disk and at the
A: prompt type: format C: Go here www.bootdisk.com if you need
a boot disk with
format on it.

If the partition already exists, you can do it in Windows Explorer.
If you have to create the partition, use Disk Management (right click
My Computer > Manage > Disk Management).
