I moved some files from a computer which was not having anti virus. Then when
I brought back my hard disk to my computer so many FOLDERS including my own
folders were converted to EXE files and detected as a Torjan by my Norton
which could not repair the files. Then I submitted files to Norton security
response and they told me these are non-repairable files and I deleted the
files by mistake but still when I check peroperties of mentioned drive, amount
of free space shows that files are still there but I can not find them.
Please help me to find and repair them those are around 8GB my valuable data.
Thanks in advance and awaiting for replies.

If you don't have backups, you may be out of luck where those files are
concerned, unfortunately. You should be making regular backups of your
important data at any rate. USB hard drives are relatively inexpensive
nowadays. You may still have malware on your system ....this sounds like a
Brontok variant.

Never use any computer without good / updated antivirus software on it -
this includes not connecting a USB memory stick or removable HD into such a
computer.

Dear Lanwench
I don't have backup but I am still hopeful as the drive properties shows
these data stil kept their used space.
I checked my recyclebin and there is an option of restoring norton protected
files.
If I can restore them how can I repair them?
