I have just upgraded to AVG 8 which has a Firewall.
I am running WINDOWS XP SP3 so would like to know which firewall I should use?

Everytime I start up AVG enables it's own Firewall.

Thanks in anticipation

The paid version, right?

Use either one... your choice.

Neither, or either, just not both.

As both are running on a user PC, neither of them is of any real
protection as many malware can exploit the fact that you are most likely
running as a local Administrator and they can punch holes in your soft-
firewall.

Get a NAT Router or a real firewall if you want protection.

Are you saying avg 8.0 has a firewall? Where on avg is the setup for a
firewall? I am not diagreeing with you just would like to know where it is
located in AVG. I just upgraded to avg 8.0 and am not aware of this
feature. I would appreciate your imput on avg firewall.

Thank You,
Ken A.

Hint: the free version is only one of two that are avaiable.

I am running the "PAID FOR" version and when I click on the icon to run it
all the options are available including the FIREWALL which can be either
enabled or disabled.
