Ive read all the post regarding this
Im running XP with SP2
Ive tried the suggestions posted below with no luck
I get the message 'DUE TO AN UNIDENTIFIED PROBLEM, WINDOWS CANNOT DISPLAY
WINDOWS FIREWALL SETTINGS'
Im not running any other firewall programs.
Can somone suggest anything to help

Since you didn't tell us what "tried the suggestions" entailed and there
is nothing "posted below", no one knows what you've already done. The
usual fix for this error is:

Start>Run regsvr32 hnetcfg.dll [enter]

Did you do this?
