Hello,

I have Windows XP home edition, for some reason I am not able to save
any files (whether they are new or editted). It will not allow me to
Change the: Save In , File name, or Save as type - boxes, these are
grayed out. When I go into Safe Mode I am ABLE to Save files.

My computer will not go into System Restore, when I reboot it says "
sysytem can not be restored to earlier date".

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank, Jeff

Is SR enabled for your drive(s)/partition(s)?
Right click MyComputer.
In the popup menu click Properties > System Restore tab.
What is the Status shown?
