I use MIDI files a lot but I don't listen to them, so I want to associate
Finale Print Music with MIDI files, but Windows won't let me. I go to folder
options and choose MIDI and "change" I go to the program file and click on it
and it changes to Windows Media Player instead of Print Music. Why is it
doing this?

Thanks

Any reason that you don't just r-click on a .MID file pick Open with,
Choose Program, and select Finale Print Music, and tick the box for
"Always use this..........."

Thanks, I forgot about that. But since I don't want MIDI files associated
with any other program why not make that program the default. Fewer clicks.
On paper it should work. Thanks again, I'll do that in the meantime.

That DOES make it the default.
