File Share on Network

I just formated and reinstalled windows xp

I am connected to a home network with a total of 4 computers thru a cable
modem and 4 port router

When I go to try and share any part of the file sytem including just sharing
a pring I recieve an error message. "error while trying to share c:// ( file
trying to share ). The service server is not started .

Can anyboday assist?

Hello Anthony,

Try this:

Go to Start => Run and type in "services.msc" {without the quotes}
Check that the service "Server" is set to Automatic and Started.
