I am working with a client and I'm thinking that we can use the file and
transfer wizard to move her files to a new computer.

My question is about applications. Will this software transfer the
applications, such as Word or a tax software program to the new computer or
will we need to install the application before transferring the data.

Thanks
Terry

You will need to reinstall those programs.

Didn't write a thing first time around. Just new here. I think I have the
answer but thought I'd check. I have an external drive onto which I backup
"all information from this computer." I am etting a new computer which, like
my old one, has XP Pro. Qeustion: Can I "back up all information" from the
old one and then "restore" it to the new one with all files, programs,
registries (in other words everything) and have it work on the new machine?
My frined recommends Alloha Bob's PC RELOCATOR ULTRACONTROL to do the job.
