I have repeatedly tried to reinstall missing updates. I am running Win 7 64 bit. I have run the Windows Update Troubleshooter with no success, getting the following messages:
Windows Update error 0x8024402C(2014-06-24-T-12_59_06P) Not Fixed with an X in a red circle
Problems installing recent updates Not Fixed with an X in a red circle
Check for missing or corrupted files Detected with an exclamation point in a yellow triangle
Then it told me that it had repaired some security settings that had changed and
that the Service Registration was missing or corrupt but had been fixed.
I then downloaded Hotfix (Windows6.1-KB947821-v33-x64) which then gave me the following error message:
The following updates were not installed:
Hotfix for Windows (KB947821).
Now what do I do. How do I fix this problem so my Windows Updater works. This is a brand new Dell Inspiron 17R model 5747 that came with Windows 7 pre-installed. Please HHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLPPPPPPP>>>>>>>>>>>>>
