Failed to register COM objects

I have Windows XP Pro on a Dell Dimension 8200. I have had in my possession a
Via Video Desktop Conferencing set but was not able to install it until now
because I previously had only a dial-up connection. Now I have FIOS. I have
installed the hardware and software as instructed but I get a message “Failed
to register COM objects.â€

I did find this URL:
http://support.olisystems.com/TIPS/OLI-Tips38 Re-register COM Objects.pdf
which explains how to reregister COM objects in an OLI product (which is not
my product). How do I go about solving MY registration problem? Is this a
Windows question or a “Via Video†question?

Thank you for any insight provided.

I think you had better ask Via Video support for help.

Hi, Ron.

Thank you. I was hoping there was going to be some quick and simple
solution, but I guess life is not like that. Will get back to them.

Mary,

There is very little info available via Google on that message so its
unlikely you will receive any help from this forum. Good luck
