Hi there,
I am trying to administer my parents' computer running Windows XP
(personally, I am runnign Linux... -), which used to to be surprisingly easy
task. Since a couple of months, however, I am experiencing a strange problem:
The explorer's folder tree keeps refreshing itself like every second or so as
long as the control panel/administrative tools entry is visible. This is
kinda annoying since it prevents my parents from selecting and
moving/deleting any files or folders.
Any idea how to deal with this problem? (Knowledge base article no. 816375
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816375/EN-US/) didn't solve the problem --
no surprise, since my parent's computer doesnt't actually have any mapped
network dirves.)
Any help appreciated -- best regards --
