ever since i removed a copy of Avg Pro and went back to the Avg free
version i've had a problem with explorer closing on me and having my
taskbar/sys tray disappear. I have to open all my programs via
taskmanager and if i try to open another explorer.exe it stays open for a
short time then closes again.

I've scanned with Avg , Malware programs , Spybot etc and cleaned
whatever its found , but still have problem with it crashing. The odd
thing is that if i disconnect my modem from the 'net , i don't have this
problem , but if i go into safe mode and try to run some security
programs there i have the same thing happening.

I've run HiJackThis and the only files that seem out of place are two
instances of a .dll file rqRHyaXo.dll ,if i try to delete , move or
rename it states that it is in use. I've tried everything to get rid of
this thinking it might be the culprit , but nothing works.

Please can someone help!

Also system restore only shows todays date!

Thanks Gord

Hmm, this doesn't sound right. Try removing all copies of the program and
also disable everything listed under Start/Run: msconfig - Startup. Check
under the Services Tab as well - hide all MS - uncheck accordingly there
then reboot.

Good luck and keep us posted.
