Having been talked about in the media for some time, Apple finally made the announcement on May 28 that it had indeed agreed a deal to acquire Beats. As part of the deal, Beats Electronics and Beats Music are to fall under Apple control with co-founders, Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre, joining Apple, too. Much has been said already and there's surely more to come with the deal not due to close until sometime in Q4 of 2014.
