Error number: 0x80244019 when i try to download updates for my xp.

i get Error number: 0x80244019 when i try to download updates for my xp. Have tried reinstalling form disc and it still doesn't work. Have run a chkdks and have no errors, also run a antivirus scan and that is clear too.
