Hi.
We had to rebuild Windows 2000 Server and then do a restore of system state
from the most recent backup. That went great. but now we cannot get the CD
rom to work. it sees it, but Error code 31 will not allow us to use it. I've
tried the registry fix they keep saying but it WILL NOT WORK. Please help us
get this fixed.
i've uninstalled/reinstalled, tried deleting upper and lower filters from
the registry, unplugging it.....nothing! error code 31 keeps coming back.

Hello Shane,

From what do you get error code 31, Event viewer? Then please post the complete
error message.
