I have been attempting to install Avanquest System Suite 15, and get Error 0x80040707: DLL function call crash: Prerequisite Utilities: DownloadAndInstall. I'm running Windows XP Service Pack 3. Avanquest Support says that I'm missing a Microsoft Service called Windows Module Installer or TrustedInstaller. Under services.msc on my computer only Windows Installer is listed.
However, we have 3 computers running Windows XP, and none of them have services called "Windows Module Installer" or "TrustedInstaller." Avanquest tech support said one of these programs should have been installed as part of a Windows XP update, but our computers should have all of the Windows updates installed.
Does anyone have any information on this? Thanks in advance.
