Hey i really need help with this one

I got the blue screen with the msg 0x0000008e, oxC0000005, ox8055FE16,
oxF35e897c, 0x00000000

i have 512,mb DDR, 3200 running xp pro

i need to know if that means my ram is dead or something because oxoooooo8e
is a ram problem

any help would be great thanks very much

Have you ran any diagnostics on the RAM ? There are a number of
free tools available. Also is your RAM a single module or a set of
two 256-Megabyte modules. If so then it may be a incompatibility
( timing ) between the two RAM modules. The other consideration
is when the issue first started to appear. If it was immediately after
a program or driver update then it's possible that is the cause of your
exception event.

Many motherboard based Video chips use a portion of the System
RAM for Video purposes. That's why the RAM total is less than the
physical size.

Have you tried booting to Safe Mode ? Between the BIOS screen
and the Windows Flag is a period of time when pressing F8 will
display the Safe mode option menu. Press F8 about every 1/2 sec
should trigger XP to enter Safe mode.

Here is one tool:
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
*You'll need to create the bootable media on a working PC.
