Is there a way to embed today's date in a folder name so that every day, the
folder name always shows the correct date for that day?

I imagine you could write a script to regularly rename that folder, but that
isn't my area of expertise. Try posting in
microsoft.public.windows.scripting for more expert help.

Sure, using VBScript, scheduled to run at midnight and at startup. What,
exactly, is your purpose? Any links to files, shortcuts, MRU lists, etc.,
will be broken when you change the folder name.
