I have two machines, both XP SP2. I have exported my EFS certificate
(including private key) from machine A and imported it on machine B.
Although logged in as administrator on both machines, When I connect my
USB hard drive to machine B I cannot access files encrypted on machine
A. What am I missing?
I can see the certificate on machine B and it includes the private key.
When I try to access a file encrypted with machine A I just get an error
that access is denied. The NTFS permissions on the files are for full
control to everybody.
