I've been looking at some of the info on using Easy Transfer going from XP to Win7, and it is confusing; so, I'm confused and hope that someone out there knows the answers. (1). I downloaded teh program and ran it; it appears to be different than what is in Wn7 and in a tutorial: Are they? It just shows that User and Shared files are being saved but doesn't show me what files. And there doen't appear to be anyway to look in the .MIG file to see what is there. (2) After a clean install of WIn7, iit says to run Easy Transfer to restore files but I don't see anything about how to do that? (3) Also, every report that I've read, except one, says to first do the restore and then install the programs needed. This seems to be self-defeating; a program may create nrew file folders, overwriting the data one placed in the same, old file folders.
