I only use EC to delete unnecessary files (temp, backup etc.), I do not
touch the registry or duplicate file options.
Cannot understand why, if you sign on as a guest, EC shows 307 invalid
entries (especially if it won't allow you to delete them).
Are you saying that it only throws up 4 entries when you sign on with
admin account?

John

You can download CCleaner directly from their site and not use a site that can cost you and be a problem with malware

That said you should not use ANY registry cleaner tools. It can create issues and in some cases you can compromise your Windows Installation.
Registry tools especially ones that do the cleaning automatically is dangerous. Contrary to popular belief registry cleaners do not save any or recover any wasted space that is noticeable and left over entries do not harm to your system. If you have a bad registry entry that is causing your system to have issues you would need to know the registry and how it works for you be able to clean it . If you do not know the registry then do NOT use any registry cleaning tools.

Some people also say that the registry cleaner will make back ups which will be saved so as you can put back one or two strings if it removes something that it finds bad.
But what will you do if you cannot get to those backed up files that it removed when you cannot boot Windows because it removed a line that was needed for Windows to run.
