Hello,

Before I dive in, I should mention a few things: I was on vacation for a
week, when I left everything was fine but I have returned to a strange issue,
the computer was off the entire time. I have quite a bit of experience fixing
various problems, but this one has me stumped.

One of my non-system drives is no longer accessible in XP, and yet at the
same time it is.

Windows Explorer now lists it simply as a Local Disk, but it is not
accessible, and does not show total size, or free space. It also says that
the file system is RAW.

Disk Management shows it as 100% free, mounted, and healthy. It does report
the amount of space available

chkdsk shows has no errors (I ran with /r, and then again with /r), BUT it
lists all other details... how many files and indexes, how much space is
used, etc...

The drive itself is a 400GB WD. I got it as a RMA replacement and installed
it only a month or two ago, at the time I ran chkdsk with /r and did a quick
format. It shows no other problems, and reports all SMART data with no errors.

Any ideas on whats going on? Formatting is my last resort, but I'd rather
not loose the data on it.

Thanks.
