I have a built-in Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616F. I am using an HP Pavilion and
running on Windows XP Home Edition 2002 Service Pack 2.

My problem is that for some reason my DVD drive will read some DVDs but not
others. A few months ago it used to play all DVDs.

Help would be appreciated, thanks

Drives can go out of alignment over time. The problem would be more
noticeable with user made DVDs as discs burned in different drives are more
likely to fall outside the tolerance zone one way or the other as the
burners all age.

Control Panel does not neccessarily show the real MCE version. Look in MCE
Settings, General, About for the MCE version info.
