Windows 2000 Duplicate Folders under Two Directories in Windows Explorer

I will make this as clear as possible. I wanted to attach a file in Hotmail
but when I clicked on 'Browse'(to search for the 'My Documents' folder where
the file was), it was not listed. Hotmail only shows history, desltop, my
computer, a: drive c: drive, d: drive, and my network places so I decided to
move the 'Ny Documents' folder to the C: directory. When I clicked on 'Brose'
in hotmail again, I found the 'file' under C: drive because it was listed.

Unfortunately, it moved 'all' of my files to the C: directory and kept the
original 'My Document' folder plus all of its attached 'files' there. Now I
have duplicate folders under 'My Documents' and 'C: drive,' those bing
$AVG8.Vault$, Documents and Settings, My albums, my documents, my files, my
music, my pictures, my received files, my videos, program files, recycler,
security, system volume information, temp, and WinNT.

Any ideas on how to remove one directory without removing the other and
'which' directory to delete?

Hopefully, I was clear enough.
