I keep getting BSOD and error messages associated with missing or wrong
drivers. The BSOD error message is Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal. I am
having trouble with my sound card driver, firewire driver, mulitmedia
controller, VIA Bus master IDE controller and others. I tried swapping the
Audigy 2 sound card with the Diamond Xtreme TV PVR 550 card to see if would
change. It seems as though a number of drivers were corrupted. Should I do
a system restore? I tried to update the drivers but an error message Saying
invalid data or bad data.

Sounds like whatever you sourced for the drivers was the actual problem.

True, now I don't know how to go back and fix this. I was looking at
software that will tell me which drivers need to be updated. Any luck with
any of those products?

I don't suppose that you have a restore point old enough to predate
the problem?

No for about 10 years... maybe more.

Stick with "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
