My OS is vista. How do I find out the download and upload speeds in kbps or
mbps on my computer?

go here, www.google.com and type in Broadband speed.

You`ll get a page of options.
Click one, and do your test.

Just go to Add gadgets and look at the ones available. I think at the
present time there are at least 3. Some additionally show your CPU (core)
usage as well as Ram usage. There is a reason they call then Gadgets :-)

enough to think Vista is the first to have real time applets on the
desktop?
