We have a "default" printer created (Lexmark) which works properly from
Windows applications. The printer is connected via the parallel port LPT1.
We have one legacy DOS application that works properly, but the print
output doesn't seem to get directed to the default printer it just
disappears somewhere.
"dir > lpt1" at the command prompt illustrates the problem, as no
directory listing goes to the printer, nor does any print job spool even
briefly.
Is something special required to print DOS jobs in Windows 2000 please,
and if so, what is it?
Thanks for your help.
