Here's a fourth question: what are you trying to do with fdisk? Please
answer that as well as the other questions I asked.
Fdisk is not part of Windows XP and normally has to be run after
booting from a DOS boot diskette containing it. Windows XP has its own
partitioning tools, and fdisk shouldn't be needed.
