One need not be this emphatic about downloading driver files from MS
Update. Except for the neophyte user and initiates to Microsoft, many
will download such files from the vendor's websites. All it takes is
just the first experience to realize this.

Apart from the obvious fact that the OP probably didn't realise that most of
us are aware of the folly of downloading hardware driver updates as part of
Microsoft updates, the advice is perfectly sound. The OP has probably been
bitten and considered himself to be performing a public service. We all
have to start somewhere.
