I have had my Windows 8 Asus netbook for less than a month, and I already have an outpouring of pop-up ads, auto-play video ads, and countless companies interrupting my work, telling me that I have to pay them to clean my PC. In the midst of typing this very question, I have had Flash Player interrupt me to tell me I need to update it. I can't open a tab without being redirected to some download, or having my internet (both Chrome and Explorer) crash. Does this sound like a virus? Should I bother purchasing a system-cleaning program? Is this a bigger problem than it seems? I am frustrated and I don't want to give out my credit card number online unless the program can be trusted. Does anybody have any experience with this matter?
