If I insert any disc in my RW drive, the PC reboots!

This happens with any disc type, blank or burned.

I have replaced the RW drive and it still happens!

Can anyone clue me to why this is happening?

Thanks
Nigel

Didn't you see the answer Pegasus already gave you? It could be a
failing or inadequate power supply. You know it isn't the drive because
the same thing happens with a new one. Therefore look to the power
supply next since that's an easy fix. Otherwise, your motherboard might
be dying.

Thanks.
Sorry, my ISP seems to be dropping stuff, as not even my initial post
appeared!

Thanks for your reply to this one, is that also the subject of the response
from Pegasus?
