I am about to give up. I previously posted on the topic of editing "on the fly" documents on CD-RW - which apparently can't be done unless I purchase different software, and even then it didn't sound like a reliable manner to store my data. Three times now, all I have tried to do, was copy Word files from a CD to my desktop for example, to obviously use/edit, whatever, then copy back to the CD (which supposedly you can do). The copying process freezes at the point of - to the desktop, I then open up Word, only to find the following under "About Microsoft Office Word", "Disabled Items": "The items listed below were disabled because they prevented Word from functioning correctly. Please note that you may have to restart Word for these changes to take place. Select the ones you wish to re-enable." I selected one of the items, just to see what would happen, and... Z E R O. The file will not open. What I got was the following error message: "Word failed reading from this file (file name). Please restore the network connection or replace the floppy disk and retry." First of all - THE FILE IS NOT ON A FLOPPY!!!Does anyone have any knowledge on this issue????? - Tanya
