I just installed the vista service pack and the desktop.ini file is now
sitting on my desktop. I dont really think I am supposed to be seeing this as
a desktop icon. Should it be someplace else?

Hi there,

This is normal if show system files and hidden files is set in the folder
view in windows explorer.

Best regards,
Michel Denie

If this is normal...then why hasnt it been there for the 7 months that I have
this computer. I WANT to see all of my files and have had that set since I
bought this computer. I am sure the desktop had an ini file all along. This
is some kind of an error.

Can I uninstall the service pack..which I didnt want to begin with..without
causing major problems to my system?:???
