Well are they compromising the performance of your machine? Are they taking
up so much disk space that your disk is full?
get a life!

Hi mertishere,

Windows File Protection is probably replacing the screensaver when you
try to delete the screen saver if I am off based then please add more
detail when you post.

Go to the *dllcache* folder located in the System32 folder and delete
the unwanted screen saver *first* and then go to the System32 folder
and delete the unwanted screen saver.

A Windows File Protection prompt /may/ ocuur, just click the cancel
button.

NOTE: If you ever run System File Checker (sfc /scannow) then the
Windows XP screen savers will be copied back to the System32 folder.

Hey Gordon, you got a big booger hanging out of your nose. No, don't
pick it! After all, it's not hurting you in any way. I believe you
next told the OP to get a life. Practice what you preach, my friend.

Hi mertishere,

Do you have an *i386* folder located in the root of the C drive? Also,
do you have a folder called *ServicePackFiles* located in the *Windows*
folder?

If you have *one* of the folders then Windows File Protection is
copying the file back from these folders.

Look in the Event Viewer to see if there is any events for Windows File
Protection.

--William, I love you. I went to the 386, and decided to delete the
screensavers, went from there to system 32 and they went bye bye. Yippee, I'm
a happy camper. I know it sounds silly to be so nuts over this but i have
never had so much trouble getting rid of a program I didn't want. It keep
asking me if I were sure. I found myself talking to it. Yes i am sure and
there is someone smarter than you. His name is William....Ok, I'll leave it
at that. Thank you so very much...
