deleting contacts from people

Iam using windows 8.1,on lenovo g500 .I tried to delete people and have no delete button only edit botton.I read the forum and tried everything there ?I have no other accounts with contacts.,I even ran registry cleaner ,command prompt scan Igot a people app corrupt?
