Decompressing Windows 2003 NTFS files

I compressed some SQL log files on my C:\ partition on a Windows 2003
server, and now, i think by coincidence, we are getting some peculiar error
messages in the Even Viewer. Will removing the Check mark from the "Compress
contents to save disk space" on a single file Decompress the file? Can i
select a group of files and do this step for all of them?

Does this actually Decompress the file?

Hello Bwise_IT,

If they are compressed with compress.exe from the Ressource kit you have
to expand them with expand.exe, otherwise it should work the other way around
with unchecking the option.

Thank you for the reply, i am monitoring my back ups to see of they are
taking longer, but so far they seem to be ok.
