Currently I am running Windows Server 2003, it is on a workstation
setup. When I try to setup the server to be a Primary Domain Controller
(Start-Run-dcpromo) It says "Windows cannot find 'dcpromo'..." So I did
a search for dcpromo.exe... nothing. Is there another way to change
from a workstation to PDC? Any help will be appriciated.

Thanks!

Hello homeboarder8,

It sounds a littlebit confusing. 2003 is a server operating system not a
workstation. So what OS did you use? 2003 standard, 2003 enterprise 2003
datacenter or maybe 2003 web edition. On 2003 webedition you can't run dcpromo.

Best regards

Also, I believe Active Directory itself is something that can be
installed/removed via Add/Remove Programs control panel, in the
Windows Components section.

Hello vidguide@gmail.com,

It is just a .exe file in the system32 folder, not to install via add/remove
programs. The version 2003 is needed to help further.
