Windows 2000 Creating a share at the server root

I have a problem with my Access database and a solution is offered on
the following website -

Microsoft Access Performance FAQ http://www.granite.ab.ca/Access/performancefaq.htm

Here's the solution -

"Alternatively I'd suggest having the network people setup a share
right on the directory that contains your database. Instead of using \
\Server\Dir1\Subdir2\Subdir3\subdir4\subdir5\backend.mdb you'd use \
\server\Sharesubdir5. "

"They can can append a $ to the end of the share name to make it a
hidden share so as to not confuse people. You would also need to use a
$ at the end of the share name as well. As in \\server
\Sharesubdir5$."

I have full rights on the server in question and was wondering how I
should create this share.

In Explorer you right click the folder c:\Sharesubdir5, then you
select the "Sharing" menu item.
