Running WinXP PRO. My cpu is running slow according to a scan. The printer doesn't work, the mouse crashes about 4 minutes after each rebooting, there are many errors in the 'eventvwr' run command. And to top it all off, I'm not very knowledgable about how to fix these things. Could it be caused by a motherboard failing (ASUS 6 years old) or the CPU going bad (9 years old)? That's all I can think of because of all the errors and warnings in the event viewer. There are tons of them, mostly writing about things I've never heard of before. Could use some advice as to what I should do.. try to fix or forget it because of it's age (10years). I'm worried about fixing it with a new MB, CPU and whatever else it may need compared to the price of a new unit which are pretty expensive today. Any Ideas?
