Converting from XP and Office 2007 to Windows 8 and Office 2010.

The Visual Basic function to "Shell" in Office 2007 no longer works in Office 2010. Error 5 indicates the argument exceeds the range or the procedure isn't valid on this platform. Does anyone know of a workaround?
