That being said I have scanned for viruses and spyware (as suggested on other sites.) Still nothing.HERE IS WHAT IS STRANGE -After a reboot and the control panel won't open (as well as My Documents, Search, Recycle bin, My computer, etc) I right click Start, properties, Start Menu Tab, customize button, advanced ta, and select Control Panel - display as link (IT IS ALREADY SELECTED)
click O.K. and apply. NOW I CAN GET TO EVERYTHING JUST LIKE NORMAL. Once I reboot it is back to being a problem again.B.T.W. It also not work in safe mode.
