I'm having a problem configuring RDC to connect to a corporate TS. The
problem is that the UserName has somehow gotten connect as a suffix to the
computer name. So then, on the "Enter your credentials" screen, I see
"Computername\username". This is then passed along to the TS logon screen
where I have to wait for the logon screen to time out and edit the username
field to simply be "username".

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you upgraded your rdp client to version 6.x
