I have been fighting this problem for a while now. What happens is I leave my
pc on all the time. When I want to get on I just move my mouse or hit a key
on my keyboard. Most of the time my pc wakes up and works fine, but sometimes
there is nothing I can do to get my pc woke up. I end up having to power down
my system and re-boot by use of the power button. I have a Dell Dimension
running Windows XP Home. I have a Pentium 4 at 2.4GHz and I have 2gig of RAM.
I hope someone can help me to get this figured out. Thanks!!!

Change your power options to so that it doesn't go into sleep mode.
The only reason I can think of for using that mode is for notebook
usage.

Pete,

I have a setting in my bios that lets any key or mouse click wake the
computer. It's possible your settings got changed.

Try rebooting and going into the bios setup screen (maybe "Esc" or "Del" or
"F1" key held down while you boot) and check for these settings.
