I
_idk_
Hi,
Recently, my computer has been shutting off without warning. I did some research and concluded that it was a heat problem. I originally had just a side case fan, but I added a secondary, 80mm fan on the back of the case as an intake and hooked it up straight to the PSU, but that did not do very much so I flipped it and made it an exhaust. The computer has been working fine since then, but shut off again today. This is weird because I was just playing Arma 2 quite a bit with no trouble yesterday. I have run one virus scan and one root kit scan only to find one PuP.optional virus, which was deleted. That was a week or so ago. Please help.
Specs:
AMD Phenom II 710
Thermaltake TT-450NL2NK 450 Watt PSU
GeForce 210
Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P (rev. 3.0) mobo
2x4 Corsair RAM
I have not made any major hardware or software changes recently. My PSU fan is a little dusty but I do not have compressed air on hand to clean it. I am running Windows 7 64-bit and my PC is custom built, but not assembled by me.
