I did an in-place upgrade from Win7 -> Win8 Pro. Now it won't hibernate. I've enabled the setting in the power control panel, but after shutting off the screen, it doesn't actually hibernate. I move the mouse, and it goes right back to the login screen.
Sleep works fine however. I used the hibernate setting all the time under Windows 7.
