Computer malware? Non-responsive and Lock-up

I am having issues with my computer, possibly malware.

The computer hardware appears to be alright, at first I thought it was just nonresponsive due to the computer overheating, but I have already fixed the fan and problems are still occurring. Now I have ran MRT and nothing comes up, as well as malwarebytes. Still nothing.

When I turn the computer on -- it works great for a few minutes and then it begins to lock up, but the mouse will still move. The screen then starts saying "not responding" but it will eventually kick back to normal for a second. If I am typing, I can get 3 or 4 words in and the computer locks up (then unlocks) and it repeats this until I just decide to stop doing anything on the computer.
