I have a windows 2003 server running terminal services in application mode.
I am having trouble finding printers for my RDP clients. Most of the client
OS' are WinXP or Win2k.

I am very familiar with printer driver mapping (KB 239088) and the various
workarounds for port problems such as the solution in KB 302361 or sharing
the client printer and mapping an LPT port to the local printer. I'm also
aware that PDL based printers work better than host based printers, and am
aware about the "fallback printer driver" group policy.

I favor HP printers. However, I'm finding that many personal printers and
even some workgroup category printers are not compatible with terminal
services. For example, many users that work from home have HP PSC series
all-in-one printers, and they will not work with any of the native Win 2003
drivers, nor will they work with generic PCL or PS drivers. Also HP
discontinued the LJ1320 witch I could use with several native drivers. They
have replaced it with the P2015 which I am reluctant to even try.

Is there a current list of printers that are compatible or even recommended
for use with terminal services in Win 2003 server? How about for Win 2k
terminal server? Below are a couple of links from HP but they aren't
current. I would be interested in other manufacturers as well.

Thanks,

You've already found it. I would recommend if your having that many
problems to look at a 3rd party solution like thinprint, tricerat,
provision networks to solve your printing problems.
