Hello
I used PC parts Picker to build before but a lot of Micro Center's parts were not there. I live near Micro Center so built it at their site. Now i need to see if all will fit and if all is compatible.

?BIOS needs flashing, ?paste or not seeing it is Intel, ? more cables, ? more fans.
I have a new WD HDD also.

If you know how to enter this build into PC PP I would be glad to do it. Or if you can look it over I would be greatly appreciative. My hardware knowledge is shallow and this is my first build.

Hi Peterr.
Unless you are a serious Gamer this build is overkill.

Bios will most prob need updating, and you can't do that.

No Graphics card mentioned.??

Motherboard normally comes with small tube heatsink paste and 2 Sata cables

Big chance you could damage CPU installing to Mobo. Many people do.

Recommend 120mm fan for rear of case if the tower doesn't come with one already.

Keyboard and Mouse?

If they have build option, I would let them build it.

If you are determined to build yourself, then at least watch some "How to build a PC" videos on Youtube, first.

I do no gaming. I am very conservative. Yes, I could use less RAM etc. but this is my last machine so I am making it pretty solid.
I was told the CPU will be shipped with latest.
I can use my NVidea if necessary but plan to see how the on board is.
All the videos I see there is no pasting if Intel but there is with AMD.
The case is supposed to have a fan.
I have a new keyboard mouse and monitor.
I have watched about 30 videos already and yes they will build it for $150 which is reasonable.
The point here is to see if I can do it. I have already changed an old hard drive, PSU, ram and a video card. My software skills exceed my hardware but I am going to try it.
However, I do thank you for all the caveats; they are appreciated.
I have to wait a bit so things may change.
Meanwhile, no ideas to verify compatibility?

Hi Pete.
I am running i7 Intel processors in two computers, and AMD in the rest.
I am an ASUS- AMD Fanboy. They just run smoother than intel rigs.
High quality and more bang for your Buck.
Something to think about.

I never thought AMD would be better than Intel but then again you have the experience. A Maserati was enticing but it would be too much for an old geezer. I'll build a Ford.
It certainly is something to think about but I'll see when the time comes. If I tell the techs at MC I am going to spend about $800., I think they will help with advice like compatibility etc. - let's hope so.
There's not much free today including advice.
TY
