combine 2 files into 2 columns

Greetings. i have 2 files.

one file is:
12.10.20.11
123.43.12.5

and the 2nd file is:
james
mary

i need to combine them both where the output looks like the following:

james 12.10.20.11
mary 123.43.12.5
