my son has been om the computer, i need to find out what sites he has been
visiting, is there another way to check besides history and how.

History is probably the best solution assuming he hasn't had the fore
thought to delete the history. Problem is, if he has deleted the history,
you can bet he has been clever enough to also delete the contents of the
temporary internet files. You can view the temporary internet files via
control panel>internet options. In internet options click the 'settings'
button in the 'browsing history' section and then click the 'view files'
button

You don't say how old your son is, but perhaps, if you suspect him of
visiting sites he shouldn't be, it is time to set up some parental
restrictions via parental controls in control panel.
